we have looked at digital stress and the impacts that our hyperconnected world can have on our health, wellbeing and resilience. So what can we do to manage this? We can develop and maintain health & positive relationships with our digital worlds by fostering what I call “digital resilience”.
I have defined digital resilience as “the process of adapting well in the face of digital sources of stress, and developing skills to continuously manage the impacts of changing digital environments and applications.”
In 2018 in Davos at the World Economic Forum, Justin Trudeau remarked “The pace of change has never been this fast, and it will never be this slow again”. And that has not changed. As far as we can predict, technological change is not going to slow down so we need to ensure that we have the skills to manage this continuously changing landscape. And this is where “digital resilience” can support us.
